I very nearly bailed on this a few times,It really irritated me to start with, Maybe the mention of so much cheese made me feel a little sick😂(that used to be me 4 years ago!) but I‘m glad I gave it a chance.
I Just wanted to give Dawn a big hug at times ,she is vocal about her grief for her friend Caroline flack&how she coped during lockdown. Hearing her read her own book you can hear the emotion in her voice, gave me a lump in my throat

Powered_By_Plants I have a lot of respect for mums who give an honest account of how they are feeling , wether we choose to parent differently we should never judge. I personally rarely drink but did find myself hankering for a margarita whilst reading this 😂 and I also had no idea weed gummy‘s existed until now!
Dawn is funny and honest, she brings up how fab it is to be a woman &loved hearing snippets of her past and her spiritual journey in amongst the diary

“Life in Pieces” tells one woman‘s story of her family during lockdown. I did enjoy it and found a lot of Dawn‘s experiences to be very similar to my own, but I think this book would be better suited to mother‘s of young children, especially those who were home-schooling at the beginning of the pandemic. An enjoyable 3 star read for me!

Amazing! I love this book so much, such a great insight into lockdown with two young children while dealing with unimaginable grief. Funny, heart warming and emotional. Loved it

I‘d promised myself I wouldn‘t read any lockdown books. However, I knew that Dawn would have a great spin on lockdown littered with humour, profound sentiment and down right shocking tales and I wasn‘t wrong!

If you‘re offended by alcohol and drugs (legal in LA) then it‘s probably not the book for you. Dawn is candid, raw and honest. She has a wonderful way of seeing people and trying to understand them without judgement and I really liked this.
