Reading this after Fragile Lives was soothing.The familiarity to his writing-style made it feel like a conversation had in person. Medicine still strikes me as trespassing sacred grounds but that‘s the beauty of it. The complaints about the public health care system are true problems we face daily.When he explains how it was to deal with a novel virus,HIV, brought back that old phrase, “nothing is new under the sun”.It gave me hope
