I‘m on the Fable app and I‘m in several book clubs on there. Fable changed the way the book clubs are organized. What do I think about this new change? I don‘t like change. It‘s different. It‘ll take me time to get used to it.

I just saw this post about the Instagram algorithm changing. I‘m a book reviewer and I post book reviews on there. I like Instagram but this won‘t work for me because my book reviews can‘t be put in a reel or video format. I read books but not enough to recommend anything to anyone. Maybe I should just continue posting my book reviews. Who cares if my book reviews get buried on Instagram? No one is looking at my book reviews on there anyway.

I decided to join this new bookish app called Tome. So far, I like that you can choose your own background for your profile similar to how it used to be on MySpace. Someone on Bookstagram said that they‘re getting MySpace/Tumblr vibes from this app. I never went on Tumblr so I don‘t know about that but I used to have a MySpace. I don‘t know what I‘m going to use Tome for yet. If I don‘t end up liking it then I‘ll probably delete my account.

Everand has been saying this to me every month. It used to automatically charge my card every month and now, I have to update my payment method. I updated my payment method this month. I froze my credit card after hearing that there was a data breach at the Social Security office recently but my card being frozen hasn‘t stopped any other subscriptions from being charged to my card automatically. It seems to just be affecting this subscription.

I was looking on Everand in their help section on their website wondering if it‘s as unlimited as they say and it‘s not. I‘ve been subscribed to Everand for awhile and I haven‘t been cut off because I don‘t use it that much but I‘ve noticed every month that I have to keep updating my payment method which is weird. I never had that problem before. If Everand starts to limit me then I‘ll probably unsubscribe.

I noticed on the Fable app now that when you view someone‘s profile, the first thing you will see is their stats and what Fable says about them as a reader. For example, this is what Fable says about me on my profile. It just confirms what I already know about myself which is that I‘m all over the place when it comes to the genres I read but right now, all I want to read is nonfiction. Luckily, a lot of my Netgalley books are nonfiction.

This is my Bookstagram feed. It‘s definitely very chaotic because I have bright colors, muted tones and text heavy posts but the text heavy posts are book reviews except when I post screenshots of emails I get from publishers. Maybe I need to change up my feed a little bit.

I was just talking about self care and I read this article from Fable that talks about self care. I‘m feeling like I‘m in a funk since Hurricane Beryl happened so I was thinking to myself that August will be a self care month for me. I‘ll still read my priority reads but if it‘s not something I need to read then I won‘t read it.

I just found out about this free book con because it was being advertised on Instagram and I signed up for it. I‘ve never watched a book con or been to one. I‘m not going to dress up for it because I don‘t have an outfit and I‘m watching it from home but I still think it will be fun. I don‘t know what authors will be on the livestream and I haven‘t read any romantasy.

I saw this thing on Instagram where you do a Google image search of your Instagram username and so that‘s what I did and this person came up. This is interesting but this isn‘t me. Her name is Kelly and my name is Kelli. Our usernames are kind of similar. Her username is kcbooklover and mine is kelli_booklover. Maybe we should follow each other since we have the same name and similar usernames. Either way, I just found a new Bookstagram to follow.

I saw this template on Instagram where you share your Bookstagram Grid and this is mine. I follow a lot of Bookstagram accounts and a lot of them have color coordinated pictures with props in the background. I used to want my pictures to look aesthetically pleasing like theirs. Maybe my account would do better if I posted prettier pictures but I‘d rather stay true to myself. I don‘t want to copy other people. I want to do my own thing.

I saw this reel on Instagram that said this and I wanted to share it here. I actually bought 2 or 3 Kindle books recently but that‘s because I own physical copies of them already and I want Amazon Alexa to read them to me. I earned points when I bought those books too. I bought those books during Amazon‘s Book Sale. You can actually earn points on Amazon when you buy books.

I saw this reel on Instagram. She started out by saying “Stop what you‘re doing and add this book to your TBR right this second” and then she held up this piece of paper that says this. I‘m doing this right now. This month, I read 3 books from my bookshelf. After I read them, I took them off the shelf and took 3 books out of a book stack I have on the floor and placed them on the shelf but I want to get the rest of the books off of the floor.

I went on StoryGraph tonight to update my reading progress because I started another book and this is the message I just saw. It looks like my StoryGraph is down again. Last night, I couldn‘t get on and then this afternoon, I was able to get on and post my book review and then I decided what book to start next and posted it on there. I‘ve made more progress in my book but I can‘t get on the app right now to update my reading progress.

I found the answer I was looking for on the Barnes & Noble website about how to apply my rewards to my online orders on BN.com. Next time when ordering books online from B&N, I‘ll apply my rewards and see if it takes $5 off of my order because I just earned $5 in rewards but I don‘t want to use my rewards right now.

I got this email from Netgalley today telling me to update my Member Type and it says that they want all members to do this by December 2022 but I‘m having a hard time logging in to their website. This is annoying because I want to do this. My login information is correct so there‘s no reason for me not to be able to log in. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon.
