🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍
With her second Magic In Manhattan novel, Allie Therin introduces a slew of new paranormal challenges and doubles down on the relationships that made SPELLBOUND shine. I love the lack of manufactured angst. When an issue comes up, Arthur and Rory TALK ABOUT IT instead of letting stuff fester, and it‘s great.
I did find the book slower than its predecessor, but I think that was a mood thing. On the whole, I‘m pleased and eager for the next one.
I‘m enjoying STARCROSSED, but I‘ve been reading it piecemeal as other stuff demands my attention and I know I‘m not getting the full effect. (Reading slowly is the WORST.) Hopefully I can read the last 20% straight through while I drink this pot of sugar maple tea.
Book & Brussels sprouts for supper! Unfortunately, I should‘ve roasted the sprouts a bit longer. They were mushy. 😔
At least the book‘s really good.
I was thinking about SPELLBOUND by Allie Therin and how very much I‘d like to read the sequel, when lo! I discovered STARCROSSED is still on NetGalley because it‘s not out until the 18th.
Now I‘ve got a lovely ARC, with many thanks to Carina Press. I started it over a huge bowl of fish curry, because I‘m now totally committed to the acquire book; read book lifestyle. La TBR can wait a day or two.
