A bit of a slow starter, with lots of predictable twists. I did enjoy finding out about and understanding the different relationships between the characters, but it‘s nothing to write home about.

This book had too many long passages of internal dialogue which became a bit repetitive. It needed editing. But the premise was interesting & the way events unfolded kept me turning pages even as I started to dislike every one of people more & more. The poor judgment shown by EVERYONE was off-putting. I can't say anything about the reveal at the end except that it was both shocking & utterly unsurprising at the same time. Bottom line: it will be⬇️
JUST MY LUCK by Adele Parks
WOW!! Just wow! Adele Parks has truly written a page turner here. Lots of surprises to be had too.
This is a must read!
“You never know your luck, our numbers might come up next week, and then all our lives will changed forever.“ How true these words are. Little did the three couples know exactly how true.

Great book full of twists and turns. Really enjoyed this one.
Everyone dreams of winning lots of money, and a windfall of 17 million is the answer to countless problems. But it can also be the cause of equally unsolvable issues. I enjoyed reading about the good luck, the carefree spending and the boundless joy. I also loved the twists, secrets, jealousy, and betrayals that were revealed as the book progressed. Not a huge fan of the ending I have to say, but apart from that it is a solid read. #NetGalley
I LOVE this. I have never felt this kind of love from someone, although I have given it countless times.
Three couples play the lottery and the week that two of them decide to opt out, the other couple wins. What happens to friendships when you hit it big? What about your kids? If you‘ve ever dreamed of a big windfall, you may want to read this first. I really loved the twists and couldn‘t put it down.
Wow what a thrill ride this was. Once it got going, I could hardly put it down. There are so many twists and turns in this. Just when you think you know something, theres another twist thrown at you. The plot is quite pacy at times jumping from Lexie to her daughter, adding an extra take to the story. I loved the added story of Toma and his eventual connection to everything. Then the ending is so brilliant and clever. #Netgalley 5*
Final time for #NutsInMay. I achieved my 30 hour goal but only finished four books. Lots of fun but due to home schooling didn't read quite as much as I'd hoped. Thanks for hosting @Andrew65
