pickFirst in a series featuring Portland PI Kelly Pruett. In this one, Pruett investigates the (maybe not so) accidental death of a young woman who stumbled in front of a light rail train. It hits a couple of false notes for me, but does what it needs to do at an entertaining pace.
pickA new to me #series, I am doing a book tour for the 2nd book next week so I asked them to send me this one too & finished both in June. I like the Portland, OR setting & P.I. Kelly Pruett who handled mostly bail bonds & skip traces for her father before his death. Now she has her first big case from a woman with ties to her father‘s past who doesn‘t believe her daughter‘s death falling in front of a Max Light Rail train to be an accident. I like⬇️
