This is a really enjoyable read. I have to admit I've never listened to Adam Buxton's podcast or watched the Adam and Joe show (I always found them - perhaps unfairly - irritatingly self-consciously wacky). I borrowed the book because I liked the sound of all the 80s pop culture references, which the kitsch style suits and which he's endearingly enthusiastic and nerdy about.
The book isn't published yet but he's managed to get this audio done during lockdown. First 'met' Buxton on The Adam and Joe Show, followed them both to 6 music and when Joe went off to make movies, caught up with Buckles through his podcast. If you know and like what Adam Buxton does, you will love this. Known more globally, school friend Louis Theroux has a somewhat shared sensibility; Adam though is the antithesis of deadpan.
