Fire Power by Kirkman & Samnee Volume 1: Prelude | 
pickI enjoy graphic novels, but some are so thin on dialogue and story that it's hard to follow what the hell is happening. But Kirkman and Samnee have created a whole story with amazing graphics. Owen is an orphan in search of his origins, and in Volume 1: Prelude he ends up training with the ultimate master, and finds out who his parents were. There were epic fights, humor and touches of romance. I'm tempted to read them as they come out!
