Jo writes about her son's transition journey with a clear willingness to learn and love for her child. Toward the end she reflects on how at first she thought her kid was just experiencing strong tomboy feelings like she herself did as a kid, and she reflects on the differences between her experiences and Jeremy's. It was fun listening to the audiobook because each family member reads chapters from their point of view. #LGBTQ #Nonfiction

Clare-Dragonfly That sounds lovely, particularly the differences between the mother‘s experience and the son‘s! 2y

I worked a bit on my current crochet project while listening to this book today. It's my first character other than a practice one I made to help me learn some of the stitches for this one. #LitsyCrafters

A slight pick and a big shoutout for Jeremy and all he did 🙌

In this book we learn about how young Emily became Jeremy, his thoughts and what he's been through. Jeremy's family gets to tell their side of the story as well and like this mum Jo Ivester wrote an important book for all people, no matter if they're trans themselves, family or friends, teachers, students...

The worlds needs to hear, to see, to feel and to understand!

Good read. Enjoyed the first hand story telling of such a difficult subject.
