Another very good book finished in this excellent series set in Edinburgh. A good group of characters in these books, with good storylines and then he always throws in a bit of the supernatural. I‘m not a great supernatural fan, and you‘d think it doesn‘t work, but this clever author always pulls it off.

EadieB This is the 8th book in the Inspector Mc Lean series. This is a detective novel but with a hint of the supernatural. Read this book and find out who is the mysterious person at the site who Mc Lean witnesses. I'm looking forward to the 9th book in the series. If you like supernatural with your thrillers, then you will love this book. 1y

This is a very enjoyable series which manages to straddle police procedural with supernatural story lines in a way which i enjoy despite generally not enjoying that mix. Here insp McLean, a very enjoyable character, witnesses a lorry loaded with chemicals crashing with traumatic results, as other crimes arise, and domestic drama occur he is drawn into an increasingly page turning story. I can't wait for bk 9.
