A day late for #NCBD but my haul this week is pretty awesome. Jeffrey Veregge‘s covers for Thor & Avengers, commissioned as part of Marvel‘s celebration of Native American Heritage Month, are spectacular. 😍 There will be more covers throughout the month & I can‘t wait! As for the tagged book, it arrived damaged & none of the staff at the store wanted it so they gave it to me. I‘ve said it before & I‘ll say it again, my comic shop is the best!

TheNeverendingTBR Awesome bunch of graphic novels here! 😍 4y

If you‘ve ever enjoyed Scooby-Doo, you legit want to read this: trust me. Also, I‘ve always been #TeamVelma and she is 🔥 here. Daphne is a much more interesting character too!

FlowerFairy I bought this one last week! Can‘t wait to start it! 4y

I loved Scooby Doo as a kid, so I'll read pretty much any reworking/retelling of my favorite mystery-solving gang. This is a fun teen mystery, focusing on the characters of Daphne and Velma. Fun references to the original show, like Velma's cat is named Jinkies and many mentions of "meddling kids." I'm hoping the series will continue.

Now that. is a mystery novel. You can tell this is a built up sort of story you get at the start of a series. The beginning of the books was all of the two ladies getting used to each other over their past misplaced hatred. Then getting to the mystery - which I say was very well written now that I got to the end. I did NOT see it coming with who done it. The notice was so well hidden, yet not so subtle looking back. I look forward to the next one

My entire day has just been made by the Hex Girls just being here. Especially when Thorn tries to flirt with Velma. The Hex Girls have been a favorite trio forever! I love the dynamic of Velma not noticing Thorns little flirting, to then where Daphne asked her who she is interested in, then she finds that Velma reacts when asked about Fred! Wow there‘s so many ties in it‘s crazy!!

Alright. Got through the initial look at everybody and the mystery is taking form. Velma and Daphne are still on hate from their past trouble. So this is a “Haunted Crystal Cove where all the settlers randomly got up and all disappeared” storyboard mystery. Glad to know know which continuity this is in. Shaggy and Fred have barely been introduced - which they don‘t really need.

Page one and I already love this. Love the thought that Jinkies is the name of Velmas cat. Next is where the story says it goes. Daphne and Velma were friends growing up, but have now split since middle school. Though the disappearance of Daphne‘s best friend, also Velmas cousin, sparks an investigation. I love these two ladies from the show, and am so happy they get a duo series!
