➡After moving into another neighborhood Miles Murphy decides to be the best prankster at his new school. But the school already has one, his name was Niles, Miles and Niles engage in “prank wars“ but after going at it for a while they make a truce and they decided to be a prankster duo, they pull the biggest prank at their school with the help of some cows.
It always pays when you take time to appreciate the details. Note the quiet weirdness of Kevin Cornell‘s drawings. Miles has some pretty amazing t-shirts... like this one, which inexplicably features a spork.🤷♀️😆
pickThis book may end, as it begins, with the sound of a cow mooing. But in my head, it ended with resounding applause. Jory John, Mac Barnett, & Kevin Cornell are uproariously funny. I finished this up in a shared office space on a snow day, &, despite some funny looks, I couldn‘t hold in my laughter. It‘s nominated for the Massachusetts Children‘s Book Award & while there are weightier titles on the ballot, I must admit: I hope this one wins.🤞🏻

It‘s about Miles who moved to a new town and new school where someone parked the principal‘s car on the steps. He meets Niles. They don‘t like each other. Then Miles declares a prank war. But Miles realizes he can‘t beat Niles in the prank war. So they become the Terrible Two. I can‘t wait to read the next one and hope it‘s even more funny. Funnier. - F, aged 7
pickI read this to my 7 and 9 yr old daughters. I wanted something light-hearted and funny after reading the very serious The War That Saved My Life. This was absolutely perfect! It was so funny and I loved the writing. It was a lot of fun to read out loud. We are rolling right into the second one. So glad it's a trilogy.
When your two year old gets a hold of your Litsy Goes Postal book with a brown marker 😩😭He's never done anything like this before, and of course he had to do it with a book that isn't mine! pickCannot pick between these two books about #DisastrousKids for the #OctPhotoChallenge My kids and I recommend them both. We had a great time of laughter and life lessons as we read them at bedtime.
