This is a really well pace and unnerving read. The narrator is recounting the months leading up to the disappearance of a young girl and from chapter to chapter I was shifting theories, suspecting everyone, moving allegiance‘s around and unsure of reality. It‘s a brilliant look at families, patriarch systems and structures as well as human emotion. This was my first by this author ( a Bookclub read ) and I couldn‘t put it down.

The card and book came only a day apart(considering one was from the next state, the other from England🤔)love the card & the book sounds perfectly up my alley. Been away trying to deal with the circus here,a new puppy plus a stressed daughter & sick 6month old grandson staying in my small house coz her partner has covid. I haven‘t picked up a book in a week!😱Plus I‘m still recovering myself.
