so-soThis was a typical thriller with few twists, but was entertaining. I needed something like this that wasn‘t too heavy, but not too light. It was tough connecting with the character at first bc of the choppiness of the scenes. Late in the book there were some odd narrative choices made that were eventually dropped. I enjoyed it, though, and it got my heart beating every time I heard a bump in the house.

The plot is fairly interesting, if typical of the thriller genre. I found the main character to be hopelessly naive. Too much so. 3⭐️

I wasn‘t terribly delighted with the #AmazonFirstReads choices this month but decided to go with this one. There are two reviews on Amazon and Goodreads and they aren‘t great, but the storyline sounds fascinating. Anyone else struggling with picks this month?
