The Forest Lover | 
Today‘s trip for #LitsySpringBreak is to the Forest.
This historical fiction book is about artist Emily Carr, who lived in & traveled the PNW forests of Canada. At the time the totem poles of the Indigenous people were being torn down by white people in the name of Christianity. Carr saw their beauty & cultural significance. Her goal was to preserve them through her paintings.
