When you work 8 hours at Camelot education for kids with special needs, have five minutes free time, then go to your night job at the retirement center you are so tired! But I have a little break and I figured Id crack open a new book...Dorothy in the land of monsters to escape for a little bit lol.
so-soI loved the premise, it's all sorts of messy & fun. The writing was mostly good & showed the presence of talent, especially with sensory description. Gevedon clearly has the ability to write a good scene & some interesting characters. But the dialogue was awkward & uncomfortable, some word choices made it feel like thesaurus on standby & there was also a lot of repetition that annoyed me. I liked it, but wanted to like it more than I did.
