I started reading this because I know the author, but got drawn into an interesting mystery in a time and setting-deep South in the summer of 1969-that provided its own drama. In addition to the mystery, it addresses racial discrimination, religious tolerance, challenges of the disabled, and dysfunctional families. And it all works! Highly recommended.

I just had to start this, just released last week and written by a friend of a friend, also a FB friend, who lives nearby. Not far into it, but I‘m hooked already. I really like the writing style.
