The One from the Other: A Bernie Gunther Novel | 
bailedI had great hopes for this book as it and the author came highly recommended. But it did not work for me. The novel is set around WWII but after 124 pages I had been lured up three blind alleys relating to the protagonist, whom I did not even like. It is rare for me not to finish a book, but this one was not worth my time.
Real Life has kept me from reading the last 3 days and I'm antsy to dive back in ... This title is the July selection for my historical fiction book club. Love it next to my current reading journal👠Also continuing with Sweet Caress by William Boyd and it is wonderful (Next TBR sneak peak too!)
