Finished my fifth book for #cozyinthesun today. It was the sixth installment of this series. Hamish has got a cold, when his friend Priscilla asks him, to protect her friend Jane. She has built up a wellness hotel on a little island and after two attacks on her life, she believes, she will die.
When the return to the island, it is pretty obvious, why she believes it and when the murder happens Hamish is confronted with several difficulties...

Festival is over. We had 2 times rain today 😭 But bf & I were sitting beneath a big tree,so it wasn't that bad.
Now back at the hotel my bestie gave my her and her hubby's winegum,since I ate my bf & mine already. She is sometimes sweet.
Now back to the book,finally the murder happened. Yeah. So a question came to my mind,what do you prefer, if the murder happens pretty early in a book or if you get to know the victim a bit before, it is killed?

Buechersuechtling That depends on the book genre and the story. If it‘s “old“ like an Agatha Christie I don‘t need to know much about the victim because the important traits will be hidden from me until the denouement, anyway. But if it‘s a “contemporary” thriller or a series about an investigator I want to know details about the victim because I want to guess – at least a bit – how it all will end and what the linking element was. 5y

Bf is pretty nice. We left the festival two hours earlier, because I don't feel great. Now he gave me his winegum (I already ate mine) and said I should read a bit. 😍🤩
Sitting on the hotel's balcony again and try to make a bit progress. 💓

Sitting on the hotel's balcony, enjoying some me-time. In the night it was still so warm and there was lots of thunder... So not much sleep for me. My friends are visiting Wiesbaden right now and I wait, if there will be the 'great' weather catastrophe as promised...
