“The school teacher and the students sang in a 47 part harmony“
I would use this story as a lesson to students about community and making change if they use their voices and stand up for themselves

This story is about a town where dancing and music is banned, despite the mayors efforts a group of people bring the fandango dance to the town and make it fun again
Fandango Stew, published in 2011 was the best read so far. It taught a lesson to not judge a book by its cover and choose kindness always. The illustrations and different font made the book far more enjoyable
This story published in 2011 is about fandango stew, the best stew ever. It is made of one bean and shared with the entire town. It‘s a cute story of allowing outsiders in and how sharing can bring everyone together.
Fandango Stew talks about how a grandfather and grandson came together to make a stew with the help of the community around them. This type of fairy tale talked about a western town and mentioned words such as “dang nabbit“ to set the tone of the old western tale.
I thought that this story was really thought out and talked about how friends and a community can come together to help one another to create something wonderful.
“Any bean makes a fine fandango stew,“ Slim said. “Just add generosity and kindness.““
“'Any bean makes a fine fandango stew,' Slim said. 'Just add generosity and kindness.'“
I would use this book in a classroom because it has a great message of being generous and kind to everyone you meet, no matter the circumstances. This is also another culturally diverse book which would be good to use to explain the significance of diversity in a classroom.
Fandango Stew written by David Davis. This book is based on its own tale about a grandson and a grandpa who arrive in a town called Skinflint, where they try to bring generosity and kindness to the people through a recipe. The language uses Spanish terms sometimes but it adds to the background and heritage of the story.
Super cute for young kids! Promotes working together, sharing and being generous by helping other people out.
“Any bean makes a fine fandango stew,” Slim said. “Just add generosity and kindness.”
Fandango Stew was published in 2011 and written by David Davis. Luis and Slim ride into a town in which they are stopped by a sheriff. They tell the sheriff that they are there to make a stew with their fandango bean! As they begin to cook, the community works together to add ingredients in order to better the stew! The stew is fantastic and shared among all.
Very fun children‘s book published in 2011. This text has great examples of repetition, and how food within cultures can bring people together! Kids would definitely love this read, and the pictures are awesome!
Fandango Stew by David Davis was written in 2011. This book is such a fun book that progresses to bring a community together. It also shows spanish culture by dropping in some spanish words here and there. Overall, this was such a fun read and great to read to older children!
I really love the first page because it sets up the scene for the rest of the tale.
The illustrations definitely add to and extend the story and the illustrations and details are true to the cultural represented.
