The long-awaited Watchmen/Justice League crossover series is extremely fun, but, ultimately, a little hollow. None of the action ends up mattering, as it all hangs on a conversation between Superman and Dr. Manhattan. The art is a gorgeous tribute to Dave Gibbons original Watchmen art.

I was planning to take it slow and admire the illustrations, but I'm just too excited to know what happens next!

Pickpick

Doomsday Clock is about loss, trauma, hope, about not giving up. It's also about war, about what separates us and what we have in common; about how the news are made and how we react to them; it's also about the importance of family and our upbringing. But more than anything, Doomsday Clock is a love letter to Superman and what he represents (so take that into account if you are just looking for the continuation of Watchmen)

Mehso-so

Reviewing all 12 issues, but really it‘s the last half that has the most storyline. And that‘s the problem. Is it terrible? No. Is it amazing? Also no. The art is beautiful; it has a great concept that really excited me.
It suffers from too much filler and bad pacing. For a mashup, DC characters appeared only at the end of the first 6 issues, and then suddenly were more in the storyline. I feel like it‘s bridging gaps, just not sure how.
⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had trouble reading these issue by issue. So now that I have them all, I‘m going to treat them like a volume. Sadly, I‘m not holding out hope, but I‘m praying that the ending is worthwhile. 🤞🤞
