Mehso-so

Contagion was a 3 🌟 read for me. I wanted more space horror after finishing Ghost Station by S.A. Barnes, and this one was recommended to me on the app Likewise. I disliked almost all of the characters, and I didn‘t care much if they made it to the end of the book or not. I started warming up to Thea and Coen toward the end, but I can‘t say I‘m motivated to pick up the next book Immunity. I will continue my quest to find some good space horror.

A pretty good book. A solid 3 1/2 stars for me. I can‘t wait to see what happens next, especially because it ended on a cliffhanger. I will say that I wish that there was more backstory to some of the crew members as I felt like I knew nothing about some of them and for me it was hard to get into at first.

I had never heard of this book or author but I'm sure glad I stumbled upon this gem. I really liked this one and have already started the second book. My own personal little complaint is I wish it had less cursing especially since it was the audiobook version. I had to keep waiting and I wanted to know what happened next!

A small crew is sent to answer a distress call from a drilling team in deep space. There appear to be no survivors, except one crew member left a final message written in blood.

“It got in us and most are dead. Decklan flew for help. Don‘t trust the kid.“

This is the first in a YA duology so it ends in a cliff hanger. I will be reading the second book soon. I wish it had just been a bit scarier. #Screamathon #BookspinBingo

This was so much better than I thought it was going to be! I really enjoyed this book and flew through it! I thought the pacing was excellent, the characters were well done and the plot was captivating. This reminded me of Illuminae (which I loved) so that is always a great thing. I can't wait to read the next book to see where this series ends!

I mostly enjoyed this but there was something missing. The author just didn‘t make me care about the main characters. Dylan was really annoying & Sullivan, Toby, & Cleaver were interchangeable personality-wise. A slightly disappointed 3.5 (rounded up to 4)🌟

Started this one today. Very much a sc-fi survival-horror vibe. Not what I was expecting, but it's holding my interest.

Also, I'm at 10miles 6 hours on #40miles20hours
