I remember how surprised I was that I liked ?? „Jeder stirbt für sich allein“ so much. And I was hooked by this one quickly, too. I love how Fallada draws his characters. He‘s got affection and talent for “ordinary people”. I simply couldn‘t put it down, even though I don‘t quite understand the protagonist‘s marriage. But I appreciate his “moral integrity”. A book to worth re-reading.
I now want to read read all of Fallada‘s books. ?
