Wow. This book shattered my perception of what it takes to become a millionaire and stay there. Our consumer culture has created an illusion regarding net worth. Definitely worth the read.

Operating a household without a budget is akin to operating a business without a plan, without goals, and without direction.

Yes!!! Highly recommended. All entrepreneurs should read this book. It's all about having financial intelligence. It's not how much you can earn, it's about how much of it you can keep. This book teaches us how millionaires think vs how consumers think.

Although statistics dated, good information. Interested in his follow up book The Millionaire Mind

This book researches people classified as millionaires. It establishes the demographics of age, gender, work and career. Many other factors were taken into consideration such as generational wealth and habits. It's not so much of a "how to make your first million" as it is "how to live to save to a million".

MrBook I've skimmed this one before. I really want to take my time with this book since it packs in so much info. 8y

This book is as frustrating as it is useful. The demographics used to gain statistical data for this book's analysis was completely white washed and out of touch with today's world. Even in the mid 1990s when this edition was created, I somehow doubt that POC millionaires were an anomaly.
