In Honey Grove, Zach thinks he‘s finally free to live the life he wants—until an archaic ordinance brings baker Abigail Kemp to his door. She needs a man‘s name on her bakery‘s deed and proposes a marriage of convenience.

Equally awkward and adorable, the relationship between Zach and Abby grows naturally (full of chemistry) as they deal with secrets, longings for independence, and forgiveness. A delightful romance.

“Read. Everything you can get your hands on. Read until words become your friends. Them when you need to find one, they will jump into your mind, waving their hands for you to pick them. And you can select whichever you like, just like a captain choosing a stickball #team.” ― Karen Witemeyer #QuotsyMar20 (note: quote is probably not from the tagged book)

I truly enjoy Karen' characters. They each have brokenness but loving God is center in life. Always a touch of humor as well. Historical romantic fiction

After thoroughly enjoying More Than Meets The Eye, I began its sequel by Karen Witemeyer, excited to see how Zach‘s tale would unfold. Abigail is a delight from the first page and a wonderful counterbalance to Zach. To keep control of her bakery she must marry a man who will respect her business savvy. Attracted to one another, the marriage between Zach and Abigail solves the problem and also offers the opportunity for love to grow.
