The Conjure Woman | 
pickI picked this up for $1, and since it contains early tales of hoodoo, I wanted to see what I could learn from it. The stories are about a brilliant man named Julius who used his stories to aid others, and himself, in working through their cares. I adored this book and found it full of beauty. I wish I'd known Julius.
