pickCollection somehow feels totally original & highly derivative. Creepy throughout, w/ dark humor recognized in final meta story. Domestic life interrupted. Loss of childhood, threat of violence, mourning, denial. Raphaël is better known as a pop star, sometimes metaphors=too much, but wow well-crafted, memorable stories. “L‘effet de couronne” (chauffeur one) got me. 2021
