I‘m trying to learn more about sleep. 💤 #onmynightstand

readordierachel Not a bad thing to know about. It's such a big part of our lives! 7y
pocketmermaid @ReadOrDieRachel Exactly! The author talks about how so many people disregard learning about sleep - and disregard the act of sleeping as important to our health! - and it‘s damaging us. Also, there‘s a lot that doctors and scientists don‘t know yet about sleep! It‘s such a vast topic. 7y

Pickpick

Science made easy, interesting and insightful along the same line as "Stiff" by Mary Roach.

First line: "One night, not long ago, a man found himself collapsed in a hallway, clutching his leg like a wounded bear."

Last line: "All you have to do is close your eyes."

"Sleep isn't a break from our lives. It's the missing third of the puzzle of what it means to be living."
