For fans of Jones let me just warn you that this is not his typical writing and it isn't horror. It reads like a memoir, but it's listed as fiction.

Jones has nailed the intricacies of small Texas towns in this book. I personally loved it and was so impressed yet again at the versatility of his writing.

🎧 What did I just listen to? It‘s not a zombie book!! I now know more about bales of cotton than I ever could have imagined knowing. Read don‘t listen!

IDK if there‘s truth in this book as it‘s billed as a novel. It‘s investigative journalism, mystery, memoir, true crime all mixed up in different time lines.

There‘s a bit of horror but it‘s narrated as ... just life. 1st SGJ book. The Only Good Indians is on hold.

I loved hating it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

AmyG The Only Good Indians is really good. 4y
Twainy @AmyG so many people have said that. I couldn‘t ignore it. I read recently that it was horror & that‘s why I grabbed this book which is not horror 🤨😆 4y
Reggie Zombie Bake-off is the one of his with zombies. 4y

Twainy @Reggie huh ... you‘re correct ... of course I looked & Hoopla has it but I‘ve reached my allotted 15 loans so first thing in February!! Thank you! Wow the reviews on that book are polarizing. 😆 4y
Reggie Lol, I liked it. It‘s cake baking moms and grannies vs wrestler zombies. What‘s not to love about that? 4y

I‘m not exactly sure that I caught everything that was going on in this book. I kept losing track of all the players and the significance of what everyone was doing to each other. However, I loved the way it was written. A memoir of sorts, with past memories and current events revolving around each other and a threat of what is to come woven all the way through it.

jmofo I loved this one. 6y
