A delightful exploration of the incredibly variety of nests birds build for their babies, illustrated by a Caldecott Honoree. Mama built a little nest inside a sturdy trunk. She used her beak to tap-tap-tap the perfect place to bunk. There are so many different kinds of birdsand those birds build so many different kinds of nests to keep their babies cozy. With playful, bouncy rhyme, Jennifer Ward explores nests large and small, silky and cottony, muddy and twiggyand all the birds that call them home!

Just got this book from the library and read it to my baby. He really loved the pictures, so talkative. And I loved it; teaching new information about birds in a cute way and thus so easy to remember. #library #readtoyourkids

I think this is such an awesome book! I would just be worried that some kids might get overwhelmed by the amount of “stuff” that‘s on every page. But it has awesome resources!!

This book is packed with information and resources! There‘s not only the story but also facts, illustration and poems on the pages. This book is told from a chicks point of view on how nests are made and relates them to houses and beds.

This is a nice mix of picture book, and non-fiction. The story rhymes well and could easily be used with story time. The tag along info bits are the perfect size for curious children.
