Pickpick

This crime novel, about an FBI profiler with a disorder that causes her to "see" color grabbed me after I learned the author also has this syndrome. I've read a few books with characters with this condition, but this one really brought it to life--and the plot was interesting (if a bit unbelievable)

BestOfFates That's so interesting - I've heard that condition described but never been able to really understand, will have to see if that book can open my eyes! 8y
kammartinez Huh. Will have to give this a peek. I've heard of the condition, but would like to see how it works in the context of a crime thriller :). 8y
CynCruz23 For some reason, this book tangentially reminds me of Girl in the Dark. In this memoir, the author recounts her life being allergic to light itself. It's unbelievable that these types of conditions exist 😱 love these kinds of books 8y

ColleenLindsay I really enjoyed this book! 8y
skrishna @ColleenLindsay Me too! My "if a bit unbelievable" may have come across as too harsh because I was running out of characters! 8y
molly Interesting. I'm currently reading a novel featuring a character who had synesthesia. The human brain is truly amazing. 8y
Brandilarsen I loved this book, mostly for learning more about synesthesia. @molly what are you reading? 8y
