As an anthropologist and political scientist he lays out the historical contexts of European colonialism and the Cold War to remind us that no situation arises out of thin air, but through careful cultivation by geopolitical superpowers. Informative. This was published in 2004; would love a current follow-up.

Reggie I have a coworker who says that every we(the US) bomb someone, future terrorism is born. And that‘s just the obvious stuff we know about. And then I think about Rwanda and their genocide, set into motion years before when they were occupied by Belgium. Stacked. Great review, Suba. 12mo
