Little Dead Red | 
pickA modern day retelling of “Little Red Riding Hood“ of a young girl disappearing on her way to taking soup to her grandmother in a nursing home. Along the way she is preyed upon by a wolf she is all too familiar with. The mystery that unfolds and the actions of desperate mother seeing vengeance is a well written, perfectly paced, and twisted tale. Yardley has done this retelling justice even if the ending diverges from the original.
