Definitely an academic publication, but very readable. I skipped most of the last third because it was just an in-depth explanation of topics covered earlier. Still, a lot of good information is covered.

He looks at what they believed, and what was the truth and likely causes of what was reported as having been seen. Multiple translations of reports from the times done by the author. All written with a dry wit that keeps it very readable. #TeamStoker
