I'm pulling out some big guns (that have been lingering on my TBR for far too long) to help me bust out of this epic print reading slump. Help me pick which one I start this afternoon, Littens! #slumpbusters
pickThis a fictional story about a woman and her daughter violently attacked on their way home by a group of men. It's also about how the public reacts and the justice system fails the victim. I felt sad and pissed off for a good portion of this book because it felt so true. I thought about the similarity to reports in the news. There is a love story as the title indicates, but it's not what you expect and to explain it would be a spoiler. 4⭐
pickA short, but not sweet novella. JCO packs a powerful punch in these short chapters told in shifting points of view.
