I'm really starting to get into the Cthulhu mythos, and all things Lovecraftian. My question is: what are some really good Cthulhu or Lovecraftian books, and or, series?
Bookwomble You can pick up any number of Lovecraft collections, so I'd say must dive in! You may or may not be aware that Lovecraft had racist views that were extreme even for his time, so be prepared for that in some of his seminal works, not least "The Call of Cthulhu". If you can bracket or contextualise his more odious views, then he's enjoyable. His longer works, "At the Mountains of Madness" & "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" are personal favourites.. 4y
Bookwomble ... as are the short stories in the Dream Cycle, featuring Randolph Carter, which as their collected name suggests are more weird than horror. 4y
