pickA very pleasant discovery! Emerson's prose hooked me immediately, and he does a solid job describing the titular Prince's dramatic arc in a fascinating world. My only complaint is that the protagonist's character arc feels a bit rushed—I'd have liked a slower burn on everything, really. Still, it's a quality work of fantasy and I'm definitely interested in seeing the series through to its conclusion. #greenvillesc #fantasy
