Mr. Pockles is friendless. His hats are the most important thing, until one day they are not. He really wants to go to a hat party but only panda‘s can go. But a daring rescue will get him a ticket to an exclusive event. There are a lot of references to San Francisco that will go over many readers heads. Plus, the exclusive club… it never becomes not exclusive. Just “friends” are let in. Overall, not a fan of this book.
