I was pleasantly surprised with In The After. I had never heard of it but enjoyed it. Or at least I did after getting used to Amy's alternating timelines. It's written in a quite chaotic way but I think it worked out for this dystopian "alien" invasion story.

This book has two things I love - a post-apocalyptic setting and creatures that eat people. It was a little slow in parts but the story is decent. I will be interested to see where she goes with this in the second book.

I just finished IN THE AFTER and though, like THE 5TH WAVE, it had a promising start, the last half of the book dropped off for me. I still really enjoyed this post-apocalyptic novel, but not as much as I would have liked to. ☠️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful YA book about a post-apocalyptic future that is full of mysteries. A story about surviving an invasion and what you have to do to get through it. I loved the characters in this and I was very intrigued all the way through the story . I couldn't put it down even though it's probably meant for a younger audience 📚 Can't wait for my library to purchase the sequel ! 8/10 ⭐️👌🏻
