Bailedbailed

I only made it 44 minutes into this but had to bail because I just don‘t like the writing style. Somehow it‘s actively irritating me at every turn. #LGBTQ #Ghost

Clare-Dragonfly Better to bail quickly and cut your losses! I have definitely tried to power through books that have a writing style that irritates me, but it never gets better. 1y
Kenyazero @Clare-Dragonfly I made that mistake pretty recently! This particular instance was just bothering me enough to prevent powering through. 😬 1y

Intriguing and spooky premise. Southern gothic.

“Bluegrass lyrics are almost always about death, loss, and unrequited love, but the music - the noise we make with our banjos and fiddles - is joyful. The dead are always with us, even after their ghosts move on, but it's the life pulsing through our veins that makes the music.“

Mehso-so

This book was okay. It had moments that I really liked it, but all together I felt like it was a little unnecessarily long. There were things that I think could have been just taken out. And I wasn't connecting to the characters. Maybe it just wasn't my kinda book, but I felt it was a little slow and obvious.

I know very little about this book. the flower cover is kind of been done, but I love how they do the title in wood and branches. Plus, there is a sneeky little snake hiding in there. One of the hot things on covers this year is snakes. The other water/floating/drowning.

I haven‘t started this one yet, but I have read great things about it!
