pickWhat a delicious piece of alternative history steampunk fiction this story was! In addition to an inclusion and blending of Chinese and British histories, there was a star-crossed lovers romance to be enjoyed. Brixton and Ada were a great combination! Especially because they both had magical abilities and it was those abilities that were the source of tension between them.
