Benedict Doyle had always known that if he ever entered the house that had belonged to his great-grandfather, the ghost that had shadowed most of his own life would be waiting for him.

Another Nell West and Michael Flint haunted house story. I wasn‘t quite as gripped as I was with Property of a Lady, I think maybe because the connection between Nell and Micheal didn‘t feel as strong, there were a lot more secrets between them this time. But I still enjoyed it. Just when you think you know what‘s going on there is a subtle twist you didn‘t see coming. It was a little less spooky than the first one too but still eerie enough. 👻
Just binge-read all ofSarah Rayne's MichaelFlint/Nell West books. Totally worth the time.
