I think this book would be more appropriate for older children, like middle school age. I don‘t think this would really allow younger children to see the real joy and value of poetry.
This anthology is definitely for older kids. The rhythm is not as obvious as some others. There also isn‘t any obvious alliterations or onomatopoeia that that‘d enjoy. There also isn‘t any internal or external rhyme.
