Issue #4 continues to be an entertaining exploration of just how far a plagiarist will go to make sure his masquerade as the world‘s greatest storyteller does not come to an ignominious end. Of course, the man who is really the world‘s greatest storyteller is still alive & in his moments of lucidity, he seeks to unmask the imposter. Littered with literary references throughout, this is a quirky, fun read about all things books, authors & the Muse.

Issues #2 & 3 actually. What happens when the Muse kidnaps the world‘s greatest storyteller to fight against humanity‘s greatest fears & it turns out he‘s actually a plagiarist & not particularly great at anything except cheating to get what he wants? Henry Henry fights some of his fears & manages to work his way back home where he is confronted with who he is & he has to do to become who he wants to be. Weird & twisty-turny & fun. A good read.

21 degrees and sunny today so I ventured forth to pick up some new releases. It a wonderful & dangerous thing for my wallet that one of the best comic shops in the city is only a 10-15 minute walk from our house. In addition to what‘s here I was hoping to pick up Sparrowhawk #4 but they were already out & are ordering more. I was also hoping to find Bitter Root #2 but it‘s not available—still waiting on word about a second printing. 🤞

#1: The Muse thinks she‘s found herself an author to battle our worst nightmares. She hasn‘t. She‘s found a man who plagiarizes his friend who is an author. Oh, the joys of a comic that doesn‘t take itself too seriously. ❤️the snark & totally obnoxious main character who makes you want to keep reading to see all the trouble he‘ll get himself into. If you‘re a reader, a fan of books, a lover of stories this may well be the comic for you. Loved it!
