Yes! This one deserves a 5-star! I was pleasantly baffled throughout and Simon Prebble's narration was fantastic!

Ian Rutledge is a fascinating character. Damaged by his service in the Great War, whip smart, and shadowed by his dead fellow veteran (Hamish) he sets out to find a man accused ten years ago of murder.
The writer duo, Charles Todd, give us an impeccable historical environment, wonderful characters, and a story with great twists. Has Ian really attempted suicide?
Highly recommended!
Looking forward to having Simon Prebble in my ears again!
