I used to read a lot of Danielle Steel books but have taken a break in recent years. I took this with me on a recent trip and I really enjoyed it. It was an easy read but I wouldn‘t necessarily say it was light reading. However it was a great choice for a long plane ride with a layover. I would especially recommend it for Danielle Steel book lovers.

I love a Danielle Steel novel. Just flows almost like you are talking to a friend. Very inspiring parents with a son who makes some mistakes but never forgets where he comes from...read it quickly and loved it.

My first and only DS book. I liked the storyline and characters but everything kind of felt flat. Im wondering if it was narrator since i listened to this on audiobook. Two generations of one family in NY. One couple escaping the horrors of WW2 and the other trying to make it as a first generation American. 3.5 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Danielle Steel's latest book moved me to tears more than once. This book covers three countries, several decades, and three generations. And second chances. "... and each would forge their own path, in honor of the past, and hope for the future, making new Footprints of Their Own." Love this quote from the very last paragraph on the very last page of this book!
