Next up for #NaturaLitsy is Jonathan Drori's 2018 travel guide around the world using trees as a base point. He uses history and science alongside quirky and curious arboreal tales.

I recommend this book for worldbuilders
It‘s descriptively written—that‘s its strength, but where it truly shines is the choice of subjects and links between informations
Technology, food, business, medicine, culture—who would‘ve thought trees were so interesting? We‘re only familiar with a tiny fraction of their biodiversity, uses and history
Venice, Stradivarius, Siemens, root canal treatment—without trees, none of these would‘ve existed
5/5

Next jigsaw is based on the tagged book. Sadly, deforestation seems to have accounted for 30 trees, as the puzzle has only fifty of the original eighty 🌳🌳🪵🪓

First indy visit in MONTHS! Bought a present for my mum. (😍🤐🎁)

Bk5 of May, Bk1 of my #NutsInMay #readathon & Bk4 of #BookSpinBonanza is done! I really enjoyed this NF book, written by a botanist, he‘s chosen one tree from each part of the world & gives a description of the tree, it‘s history and it‘s uses. He took what could‘ve been a boring subject & made it highly readable. Definitely recommend. #NonFiction2020 #FromACountryOtherThanYourOwn #MayBookBingo #NewToYouGenre #PageAThon #240pages #MedievalAThon 👇

Once again I‘m late to the party! I‘ve just found out about @Andrew65 #NutsInMay #readathon and it sounds like fun. This is what happens when you have a night off Litsy, you miss things, but I was so tired yesterday after Mother‘s Day & doing something gardening. I have flowers!!🙌 I‘m starting off with my 4th #BookSpinBonanza book, which so far is fascinating. There‘s so much great NF out right now. Wish me luck with all my challenges🤞

Bk15 in my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul (🤫) is another NF, this one is pretty self explanatory. Every chapter has trees from a specific part of the world, eg: the americas, Asia, Oceania etc. The illustrations are beautiful & you can see the passion of the author in his descriptions of each tree & it‘s characteristics. Highly interesting & full of facts.🌳 #saveourforests

I‘m not sure what I was expecting when I picked up Around the World in 80 Trees by Jonathan Drori but it has far exceeded my expectations and I have every intention of rereading it! It‘s a fantastic combination of information, anecdotes, humour and environmental concerns. Each tree has it‘s own profile highlighting its key aspects, history and impact on the world. Book stack from Shanghai that I have dithered about posting but really do need off the dining table 😂🤦🏻♀️😂 A lot of specifically China books for a project and two from my multiple 6hr layovers in Singapore.
