Listened to this on audio. Pretty good YA novel. Follows an interesting concept of separating the population into Day people and night people during a flu epidemic that ends up becoming the new normal. A few decades later this is strictly enforced with curfew violations and other laws.
A girl named Sol plans to break several of these rules to bring her dying grandfather his new great granddaughter just one time.
#AprilBookChallenge2k17 :Underrated Book.
This book was very interesting. I loved the different society that was presented in the book. The whole idea of the day and night classes was very intriguing. Also, the romantic angle of the book wasn't terribly over stressed either, but there were enough heart wrenching moments with Sol's family to play with your emotions. Amazing book!
This audiobook was a stretch read for me. I don't often real dystopian/alternative history, but I really enjoyed this. Julia Whelan's performance, including singing (!) made for a book I didn't want to put down. I'll pick up more Elizabeth Fama.
