“We don‘t respect them enough to call them wolves, the men. They are weak and they hunt in packs. No fear of a much more ancient force that we know is in the wind. A large howl that‘s called for women like us forever.”

I pray to the stars of friends who have been lost
To a galaxy that burns bright to remind us we are not alone

Pickpick

This is a decent modern take on the red riding hood mythos with a great dash of social commentary.

I‘m giving this a pick, tho it kinda teeters on that edge of so-so and pick. I think the storytelling/world building could be stronger, but I liked the ideas and definitely liked the concept of women taking back their own and trying to protect each other and their city. I think there is a volume 2 and I‘m going to check it out, for sure.

ohyeahthatgirl There are 2 volumes! I looved the art so much that I didn't care about the plot issues as much. 6y
Eyelit @ohyeahthatgirl found it on hoopla and just read it! I agree with you on the art! 6y

Mehso-so

Dogsitting for my mom and getting some reading done. I didn't love this, but it was decent enough. Lots of different elements, but none were explored very well.

Aimeesue What is that lovely doggo's name? Don't leave out the *important* info! 7y
