I read two of the “Cast the Die“ books for October -- or should I say cast the bones? -- and DNF'd one. I also read 5 other books from the list and DNF'd one.

I received this book in a contest and it was on my to be read pile for a few months. I just finished reading it and really liked it. This was the author's debut novel and I look forward to reading more of her books. I highly recommend it.
This is a story about a group of friends who gather together to celebrate the anniversary of one of them who beat cancer years ago. It reminded me of good old fashioned stories about friendship without any frills or fan fare. Instinctively I pictured the cast of A Million Little Things while I read this, which by the way, if you like that show, you might want to try out this novel. I still want to wring Nolan‘s neck, but overall it was enjoyable.
I never even heard of this book until about a week ago, but I‘m a sucker for a well written story that follows multiple characters over the course of many years. We shall soon see how this one fares.
